Glowworm Tour (supporters pricing)

Your glowworm tour starts outside the Sanctuary Visitor Centre at 7pm (please arrive by 6.30pm for pre-tour briefing); our knowledgeable and friendly guides will meet you. After introductions, and an overview of the Brook Waimārama Sanctuary you’ll soon be on your way.

During the next 90 minutes you’ll get to see and experience the Sanctuary in a way that is completely unlike our day time tours.

Tours are for groups of up to usually 12 guests, each group is accompanied by two guides. Each child under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (1:1 ratio) – note, ‘family’ group bookings are permitted with two adults and three children.

Because of the darkness, this tour is not recommended for children in prams or for those in wheelchairs as safely navigating the pathways in the dark may be challenging.

These tours are reliant on the availability of volunteer guides, and are weather dependent. The safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff is of paramount importance.
